Iris is the heart of it, bringing a cool, soft powder with a faintly earthy, rooty side. Vanilla gives the sweetness and the creamy warmth, which is why people describe it as gourmand as much as floral. The third note is an ink accord, an unusual, slightly inky and mineral touch that gives the powder and vanilla a darker, more graphic edge and ties the scent to the indigo of the name.
