Cortigiana

Cortigiana, from the Italian house Il Profvmo, is a cherry-and-almond gourmand marketed to women. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand, two thirds find it floral, and a minority mention green.

Cherry opens it, sweet and slightly tart, alongside a wildflower note that gives the top a soft, meadow-like floral haze rather than a specific bloom. The heart pairs almond and vanilla, the almond bringing a marzipan sweetness that echoes the cherry-stone edge of the fruit, and the vanilla a creamy warmth.
