Emporio Armani In Love With You, released by Giorgio Armani in 2019, is a sweet, fruity feminine scent with a woody and floral frame. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand, and about two thirds also find it woody and floral: dark fruit sweetness held in check by rose and patchouli.

The opening is a cluster of tart red and black fruit: black currant, raspberry and sour cherry, which read as sharp and jammy at once. In the heart, jasmine and rose soften the fruit into something more rounded, while wormwood adds a bitter, herbal thread that keeps the sweetness from cloying. The base is patchouli alone, earthy and slightly chocolatey, which is what gives the drydown its woody depth.
