Black pepper and pink pepper open it with a sharp, sparkling heat, and saffron adds a warm, leathery, honeyed spice. Damask rose forms the heart, deep and velvety, its sweetness offset by the pepper. The base is darker and warmer: leather gives a smooth, polished texture, incense a dry, smoky haze, cypriol an earthy, rooty smokiness, and benzoin and styrax a sweet, balsamic glow, with sandalwood and musk smoothing the finish.
