No Sleep

No Sleep is a floral above all, with a woody frame underneath and a lighter thread of sweetness and citrus running through it. Coreterno, an Italian house, released it in 2021 with perfumer Luca Maffei, and it is worn by anyone.

Bergamot gives the brightest moment at the start, a clean citrus lift before the flowers take over. The heart is a bouquet rather than a single bloom: rose and white rose, jasmine, lily, hyacinth and violet, which together read as dewy, slightly green and a little powdery. Beneath them sit pale white woods and patchouli, adding dryness and an earthy edge, while vanilla softens the whole into something smoother and gently sweet.

The result is a polished floral with enough wood to keep it from feeling purely pretty. It suits daytime wear and milder weather, and anyone who likes a rose-led bouquet with a quiet woody base should find it easy to live with.
