Green apple opens it with a crisp, tart, slightly sour freshness, brighter than the usual fruity top. Rose then takes the heart, soft and rounded, with rose hip adding a tangy, slightly jammy fruitiness that sits between the apple and the flower. Vanilla brings the sweetness that defines the gourmand impression, creamy and warm, and musk, despite its billing in the name, works mostly as a smooth, clean finish that holds the rose close to the skin.
It is a gentle, pretty scent rather than a dramatic one, suited to daytime and milder weather. Anyone who likes rose but prefers it fruity and sweet rather than green or spicy should find it an easy choice.
