Voyance

Voyance is a woody tuberose, a scent that takes a famously heady white flower and sets it against dry woods and musk. Baruti, the Dutch house of perfumer Spyros Drosopoulos, released it in 2015; it is worn by anyone.

Tuberose is the one floral in the composition, creamy, slightly green and intensely fragrant, but here it is framed rather than allowed to dominate. Guaiac wood adds a smoky, slightly sweet woodiness, sandalwood a creamy warmth, and vetiver a dry, earthy, grassy edge that keeps the whole from becoming lush. Musk closes it with a soft, skin-like finish, so the flower feels worn rather than announced.

It is a scent for someone who likes tuberose but prefers it understated and woody, and it suits autumn and spring and daytime as much as evening. If you find most tuberoses too much, this is a quieter way in.
