Aurora Northern Lights

Aurora Northern Lights, from the Kuwaiti house Atyab Al Marshoud, is a woody fragrance built on just two materials, with a spicy side about half as strong.

Saffron gives the opening a warm, slightly leathery, honeyed spice, with a dry, almost metallic glow. Oud, or agarwood, forms the core: deep, resinous and slightly smoky, with a woody richness that can carry hints of leather and dried fruit. The pairing of saffron and oud is a long-standing one in Middle Eastern perfumery, and here it is presented simply, without fruit or flowers to soften it, so the wood and spice speak plainly.
