Grand Palais

Grand Palais from Al-Jazeera Perfumes, a Qatari house, is a 2018 fragrance by perfumer Dominique Ropion. It is floral above all, and most people also describe it as sweet and woody, with spice and citrus noted by a minority. It is worn by anyone.

The notes are unordered: mandarin orange and red currant open with bright, slightly tart fruit, pink pepper adds a rosy sparkle, and gardenia, jasmine and osmanthus form a lush white-floral heart, the osmanthus lending an apricot-like softness. Patchouli and sandalwood give the base an earthy, creamy woodiness, and vanilla rounds it with a gentle sweetness.

No wear reports on longevity, sillage or season have been collected. White florals over sandalwood and vanilla usually carry well in warm weather and in the evening. It is sold as a bottle without a stated volume, and also in a 2 ml sample, which makes trying it before committing straightforward.
