Ambra Oud

Ambra Oud is a spicy, fruity oud from Al Ambra, composed by Abdul Rahiman Mugarithottam and released in 2014. People describe it as spicy and woody in equal measure; about half also find it gourmand or citrusy, and a quarter green or leathery.

Grapefruit and blood orange give the opening a bright, slightly bitter juiciness, and berry fruits and fig add a darker, jammy, slightly milky sweetness. Mint brings an unexpected cool freshness. Cinnamon, nutmeg and spices follow with a warm, sweet heat. Cambodian oud is the heart of the base, dark, smoky and slightly sweet, with white woods and woody notes giving it a cleaner frame.
