Mosaic

Mosaic is a sweet, nutty gourmand from Ahmed Al Maghribi, released in 2020 and worn by anyone. Gourmand is how everyone describes it, most also call it floral, and a few notice wood, musk or citrus, which fits a dessert-like scent with a floral thread running through it.

Orange opens it with a brief, juicy brightness, and almond arrives quickly with its sweet, marzipan-like roundness. The heart is where the gourmand side gathers: cocoa adds a dusty, bitter chocolate note, coffee a roasted depth, and praline a nutty, caramelised sweetness that ties them together. Bulgarian rose and white flowers sit among them, the rose warm and slightly jammy, the white flowers creamy, so the sweetness feels perfumed rather than purely edible. Orris adds a powdery, slightly earthy softness. Vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and musk form the base, warm, smooth and lasting.

It is a cosy scent for cooler weather and evenings, for anyone who likes chocolate, coffee and nuts in a fragrance and wants a floral touch to lift them.
