Primo

Primo by Trussardi, composed by Violaine Collas in 2024, is a woody masculine with a sweet, mineral twist. Woodiness is what everyone agrees on; most also describe it as sweet and floral, and a third notice spice and citrus.

Grapefruit opens it, bitter and bright, with pimento adding a warm, peppery spice. The heart is geranium and Bourbon geranium, rosy, green and slightly minty, which gives the scent its floral side without any softness. The base is where it becomes distinctive: maple syrup brings a dark, woody sweetness, tonka bean a creamy, almond-like warmth, and patchouli, cedar and sandalwood a dry, earthy, smooth wood.
