Soul of Bali

Soul of Bali from Swiss Arabian, composed by David Chieze in 2025, is a spicy, tropical fragrance with a marine streak. Spice is what everyone notices; most also find it sweet, and a smaller group pick up wood, freshness and amber, with a minority mentioning citrus.

Mango, pineapple and rhubarb open it with a juicy, tangy sweetness, brightened by bergamot and sharpened by ginger, pink pepper and cardamom. Sea water and aquatic notes bring a salty, open-air freshness to the middle, while nutmeg and saffron add a warm, dry, slightly leathery spice. The base is resinous and woody: frankincense and olibanum for a dry, smoky depth, cypriol for an earthy, oud-like darkness, rosewood and sandalwood for creamy wood, and ambergris and musk for a warm, salty finish.
