Erba Oud

Sweet and citrusy in equal measure, Erba Oud is less the dark, medicinal oud its name might suggest and more a bright fruit-and-vanilla blend with a leathery, musky undertow. It comes from Sospiro Perfumes of Italy, released in 2022, composed by Christian Provenzano and worn by anyone.

Lemon, orange and bergamot open it with sparkle, quickly joined by juicy peach, melon and apple that push the whole thing towards a fruit-bowl sweetness. Saffron adds a warm, slightly leathery spice in the middle. The base is where the name earns its keep: agarwood and leather give a smoky, animalic depth, while amber and vanilla keep it rounded and musk smooths the edges.

It is a good fit for someone who wants a hint of oud without committing to a heavy, traditional one. The fruit and musk keep it approachable enough for daytime, while the leather and amber give it enough weight for cooler evenings.
