Afgano Puro

Afgano Puro is a woody patchouli fragrance from Sospiro Perfumes, composed by Christian Provenzano and released in 2022. Woody is the word everyone uses; about half also find it gourmand, green, musky or aromatic.

Patchouli is clearly the centre of the composition: earthy, slightly camphorous and dark. Herbal and green notes around it keep it from feeling heavy, adding a fresh, leafy counterpoint. Cedar brings a dry, clean woodiness, and tobacco adds a warm, slightly sweet and hay-like depth. Vanilla softens the whole thing with a gentle sweetness, and musk gives the drydown a smooth, skin-like finish.

Afgano Puro is worn by anyone. Its earthy, warm character points to autumn and winter and evening wear, and it should suit someone who already likes patchouli and wants a refined version with tobacco and vanilla rather than a raw, hippyish one.
