Emblem

Emblem is a spicy, green scent for men, released by Montblanc in 2014 and composed by Olivier Pescheux and Sonia Constant. People rate spice and greenery as its two equal pillars, with about half also noting a sweet, gourmand touch, woodiness and citrus.

Grapefruit gives it a sharp, slightly bitter brightness, while cardamom adds a cool, aromatic spice that feels clean rather than hot. Violet leaf and clary sage supply the green side: violet leaf smells crisp and almost cucumber-like, clary sage herbal and gently musky. Cinnamon brings a warmer, sweeter spice that bridges into the base, where tonka bean adds a soft, almond-like sweetness and woody notes keep the finish dry and composed.
