Superose

Superose from the French house Les EAUX Primordiales, composed by Amélie Bourgeois and Arnaud Poulain and released in 2022, is a sweet, fruity rose. Gourmand is the word everyone uses for it; about half also find it musky or floral, and a quarter spicy, woody or citrusy.

Lychee, litchi, pear, peach and mandarin make a juicy, sweet, slightly tart fruit opening, and saffron adds a warm, dry, slightly leathery spice. Rose is the heart, full and slightly jammy, and iris gives it a cool, powdery, suede-like softness that keeps it from feeling too sugary. Vanilla brings a creamy sweetness underneath, patchouli an earthy depth, and white musk and musk a clean, soft, skin-like finish that holds the rose close.
