Bergamot and pink pepper open it with a bright, lightly spiced start, joined by saffron, which adds a warm, leathery, slightly medicinal spice. The heart is jasmine and jasmine sambac, smooth, heady and a little indolic, with iris bringing a cool, powdery contrast. Then the darker side arrives: cocoa and cacao pod give a dry, slightly bitter chocolate, hazelnut a nutty sweetness, and ink an inky, metallic, almost smoky note.
