Mankind Legacy

Mankind Legacy is a spicy, woody fragrance marketed for men from Kenneth Cole, released in 2019 and composed by Stephen Nilsen. Spicy and woody are the two words everyone uses for it, and about half also find it green, aromatic, ambery or citrusy, which describes a scent with a fresh top and a dry base.

Italian mandarin opens it with a sweet, juicy citrus, and nutmeg and clary sage add a warm, slightly bitter, herbal spice right alongside it. The heart turns green and woody: balsam fir brings a resinous, Christmas-tree freshness, rosemary a sharp, camphorous herb, and pink pepper a rosy, peppery lift. The base is dry and clean, with cedar for a pencil-like wood, amyris for a smooth, faintly sweet, sandalwood-like softness, and vetiver for a smoky, rooty depth.
