Sawlaj by Kajal, created by Christian Carbonnel in 2017, is a floral fragrance with wood, resin and citrus noticed by most people, and smaller groups finding greenery and leather.

Lemon and bergamot give a bright, fresh opening. The heart is floral and spiced: rose and jasmine bring a velvety and creamy bloom, and carnation a clove-like floral spice. The base has a classic chypre structure: oakmoss gives a damp, earthy bitterness, patchouli and vetiver an earthy, smoky depth, labdanum a honeyed, ambery resin, leather a smooth texture, and vanilla and benzoin a soft, balmy sweetness.
