Iceberg Homme

Iceberg Homme is a 1991 men's fragrance from the Italian house Iceberg, built in the generous, many-layered style of its era. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, just over half find it woody and citrus, and a smaller group mention aromatic, amber and leather sides.

It opens with lemon, bergamot and mandarin, sharpened by green notes and lavender. The heart is unusually floral for a men's scent, with jasmine, rose, carnation, iris and hyacinth giving it a spicy, slightly powdery bouquet. The base is where the masculinity sits: oakmoss adds a dry, forest-floor bitterness, cedar and sandalwood provide wood, leather and patchouli add depth, and amber and musk soften the finish.
