London Fog

London Fog by House of Brandt, composed by Jean-Charles Mignon in 2024 and worn by anyone, is built around the tea latte of the same name. Sweetness is what everyone picks up; about half also describe it as green and musky, and a quarter notice aromatic, amber-like and citrus sides.

Earl Grey tea and tea give the backbone, dry and slightly tannic, with bergamot supplying the citrus edge that defines Earl Grey. Lavender adds the aromatic touch that turns it into a London Fog, soft and faintly herbal. Milk and honey make it creamy and sweet, and vanilla and vanilla absolute deepen that into a smooth, dessert-like warmth. The base is white musk, musk and sandalwood, clean and creamy, with ambergris adding a salty glow and a thread of smoke giving a faint, toasty depth.

It reads as a cosy, comforting scent for cool days and quiet evenings, suited to someone who loves tea and vanilla and wants a gourmand that smells of a café rather than a sweet shop.
