Bergamot and mango open it, the mango giving a juicy, slightly resinous tropical sweetness. Taif rose then takes the heart, a rich, spicy rose with a faintly peppery edge, alongside iris and black iris, which bring a cool, powdery, suede-like dryness. Saffron adds a warm, leathery spice. Beneath that, agarwood (oud) and cypriol give a smoky, earthy wood, but the musks, white and plain, keep the drydown soft and close rather than dark.
The overall effect is a smooth, powdery rose with a hint of smoke, suited to cooler weather, daytime or evening. It should appeal to people who like rose and iris together and want a touch of oud without its full weight.
