The opening pairs red berries with incense, so a tart, jammy fruitiness arrives wrapped in dry, resinous smoke. Narcissus sits in the heart, a green, slightly animalic flower that reads more earthy than pretty. The base is where the fragrance spends most of its time: sandalwood and guaiac wood give a creamy, faintly smoky warmth, oak and cedar keep it dry and structured, and tonka bean with vanilla soften the edges into something comfortable.
Atlas Fever is worn by anyone. Its mix of smoke, wood and gentle sweetness points towards cooler months and evenings, and it suits someone who wants a woody fragrance with more character than a simple cedar or sandalwood.
