Loubifunk

Loubifunk from the French house Christian Louboutin, composed by Nicolas Beaulieu in 2020, is a dark, fruity rose for women. Floral is what everyone notices, and about half also find it sweet and woody.

The composition is compact. Blackcurrant opens it tart, juicy and a little leafy, giving the rose a sharp, fruity edge from the start. Rose and Turkish rose form the heart, full, slightly jammy and honeyed rather than fresh and dewy. Patchouli underneath brings an earthy, dark, slightly chocolatey depth that gives the scent its woody character and keeps the rose from being merely pretty.

It is marketed as feminine and suits evenings and the cooler months, for someone who likes rose with blackcurrant and patchouli, bolder and darker than a garden rose.
