1000 Miglia

1000 Miglia from the Swiss house Chopard, composed by Olivier Polge and Bruno Jovanovic in 2013, is a green, aromatic men's fragrance with a motoring theme written into its notes. Green is what everyone notices; about half also find it sweet, aromatic, leathery, warm and citrusy.

Bergamot and juniper berries open it fresh and slightly bitter, with lavender adding a clean herbal tone. Grass and green grass give it a cut-lawn, trackside greenness, and violet adds a faintly powdery touch. Then the unusual part: an asphalt note, dark and tarry, alongside leather and coffee, which together suggest warm tyres and upholstery.
