INCEPTION from the Danish house ZARKOPERFUME, released in 2013, is a fresh, marine fragrance. Freshness is the impression everyone shares; about half also find it spicy, woody, floral or citrusy.
The notes are given only in general terms: sea water and sea notes, citruses, green notes, floral notes, spicy notes and woody notes. That makes it hard to describe stage by stage, but the overall shape is clear enough. Expect a cool, salty, slightly ozonic opening with a citrus brightness, a green and lightly floral middle, and a dry woody base with a touch of spice to give it some warmth. It is built around an atmosphere rather than any single ingredient.
