It opens directly on coffee and cocoa, a roasted, bitter, slightly chocolatey warmth that is darker than the sweet opening many expect. The heart is white floral: jasmine sambac brings a creamy, heady richness and orange blossom a clean, honeyed sweetness, which together lift the coffee and give the scent its lift. The base is bourbon vanilla and patchouli, a thick, creamy sweetness grounded by a dark, earthy depth, so the dry-down is warm and enveloping.
Most wearers report moderate longevity, with a quarter finding it long lasting; the trail is moderate, sometimes intimate. It is voted heavily for winter and autumn, and mainly for night.
