The opening is bergamot and mandarin orange, a brief, clean citrus lift. The heart is soft and powdery: violet and iris, both of which smell of face powder and cool petals, with periwinkle and jasmine adding a lighter floral sweetness. The base is where the dessert comes in, with whipped cream, sugar and vanilla over benzoin, which brings a slightly balsamic, vanilla-like resin to round it off.
