Cherry Blossom by the Spanish perfumer Toni Cabal, released under his own name, is a gourmand before anything else; everyone who describes it says so, and only a minority mention its floral and resinous sides. It is worn by anyone, and no release year is recorded.
The notes are listed without stages. Raspberry and rhubarb open it with a tart, juicy fruitiness, the rhubarb adding a green, slightly sour edge that keeps the sweetness honest. Cherry blossom and almond blossom form the floral heart, soft and powdery with a marzipan-like nuttiness. The base is Madagascar vanilla and benzoin, warm, creamy and resinous, which is where the dessert-like impression comes from.
