Tyrenum, named after the Tyrrhenian Sea, is a 2022 composition by Paolo Terenzi for Tiziana Terenzi. Spice leads, citrus is noticed by most people, sweetness and freshness by about half, and smaller groups find greenery and wood.
Bergamot, Calabrian bergamot, orange and Brazilian orange give a bright, juicy opening, and cardamom, black pepper and pink pepper a lively, cool spice. The sea is central: sea water, sea notes, salt and stone create a mineral, sun-warmed rock feeling. Olive tree and green tea add a dry, green, Mediterranean freshness, and osmanthus a soft apricot note. The base is warm, with caramel and Madagascar vanilla for sweetness, patchouli for depth, and ambergris and musk for a salty-skin finish.
