Pure Shine

Pure Shine from the French house The Woods Collection, released in 2016, is a sweet, musky floral with a woody base. Floral is what everyone notices; most also find it gourmand, woody, musky and citrusy, and a third pick up amber.

Grapefruit, citruses and pineapple open it bright, zesty and a little tropical, with pink pepper adding a rosy warmth. The heart is jasmine and hyacinth, warm and green in turn, with orris root adding a cool, powdery touch. The base is vanilla for a creamy sweetness, patchouli and vetiver for an earthy, dry depth, amber for warmth and white musk and musk for a clean, soft finish.

It is worn by anyone and has a versatile character suited to daytime and warm evenings across most of the year, for someone who likes jasmine and hyacinth with citrus on top and vanilla and musk underneath.
