Liberty by The Merchant of Venice, released in 2015, is a woody scent with a soft leather side, made for anyone to wear. Everyone describes it as woody, and about half also find it spicy, floral, ambery and leathery.
Saffron and thyme open it, the saffron dry and leathery, the thyme herbal and slightly medicinal, so the start is austere rather than sweet. The heart is white suede, cedar and white lily: a smooth, powdery leather, a dry, clean wood and a cool, slightly green white flower that softens the whole thing. Patchouli and crystal amber form the base, earth and a clear, warm amber that gives the scent its lasting glow.
