L'Eau Rêvée D'Ikar

L'Eau Rêvée D'Ikar by Sisley, composed by Vincent Ricord and released in 2023, is a woody, floral citrus with a resinous side. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, floral and citrusy, and about half also find it resinous.

The notes are listed together. Lemon and bitter orange open sharp and bright, the bitter orange adding a slightly green, peel-like edge. Pistachio brings a nutty, faintly sweet note that is unusual in a fresh scent, and geranium a rosy, minty floral. Iris adds a cool, powdery softness. The base is where the resin lives: mastic, also called lentisque, gives a green, piney, Mediterranean resin, labdanum a warm, ambery one, over sandalwood and vetiver for a dry, smooth woodiness.

L'Eau Rêvée D'Ikar is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. The citrus and resin make it a warm-weather scent with more depth than a plain cologne, suited to daytime and summer evenings, and to someone who likes fresh scents with a woody, slightly bitter character.
