Rose Taif, a 2024 release from Sentier, is equally spicy and floral, with woody and leathery sides in support.
The scent is built around Taif rose, a rose grown in the mountains of Saudi Arabia and prized for its rich, fresh and slightly spicy scent. Here it brings a deep, velvety rosiness, supported by geranium, which adds a green, slightly minty rose-like note. Cinnamon and cardamom give warmth and a cool, aromatic spice. The base is darker: palisander rosewood brings a smooth, slightly sweet woodiness, and birch a smoky, tar-like note that gives the leathery character.
