Punta Ala by Salvatore Ferragamo, composed by Alberto Morillas and released in 2018, is a woody citrus named after a stretch of Tuscan coast. Everyone who describes it calls it woody and citrusy; about two thirds add floral, and a third find it musky.
The notes are listed without stages. Lemon, mandarin and bergamot open with a clean, sunny citrus, and neroli adds a fresh, slightly bitter orange-blossom green. Jasmine gives the heart a soft, warm floral body. Olive tree is the distinctive note, bringing a green, slightly bitter, leafy, Mediterranean quality. Cedar and vetiver dry it down into a crisp, slightly smoky wood, patchouli adds earth, and musk smooths the finish.
