Tropylang from Salum Parfums, composed by Sofia Bardelli in 2024, is a sunny, salty woody fragrance with ylang-ylang, tropical fruit and caramel. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, most also find it gourmand and fresh, about half notice spice and flowers, and a minority mention amber.
Mango and passionfruit give the opening a juicy, tangy, tropical sweetness, while sea water, sea notes and salt add a breezy, mineral freshness. Solar notes bring a warm, sunlit glow, and cinnamon and saffron a light, warm spice. The heart is ylang-ylang, including Madagascar ylang-ylang, creamy, banana-like and sensual. The base is warm and woody: Madagascar vetiver gives a grassy, smoky depth, cashmere wood a woolly softness, caramel a toffee-like sweetness, and labdanum, ambergris and musk a resinous, salty-sweet finish.
