Celluloid Heroes from the Dutch house Salle Privée, composed by Tanja Deurloo and released in 2017, is floral and citrusy in equal parts. Everyone who describes it uses both words, and about half add woody, musky, fresh or ambery.
Eight notes are listed, without stages. Lemon and bergamot open with a clean, sparkling citrus, and cucumber adds a cool, watery, green freshness that keeps the start crisp. Magnolia and orange blossom form the heart: magnolia lemony and creamy, orange blossom sweeter and more honeyed. Sandalwood gives the base a soft, milky wood, with amber for gentle warmth and musk for a smooth, skin-like finish.
