Infusion d'Ylang, released by Prada in 2022, is a spicy, woody floral built on a very short formula. Everyone who describes it finds it spicy, woody, floral and citrus in equal measure, which reflects how balanced the four notes are.
Bergamot opens the fragrance with a clean, slightly bitter citrus brightness. Cardamom follows with a warm, aromatic, slightly green spice that gives the composition its lift. Ylang-ylang is the centre: a creamy, slightly banana-like, faintly spicy white flower that in this treatment stays airy rather than heavy. Sandalwood underpins everything with a smooth, milky woodiness that carries the flower into a soft, dry finish.
