Petitgrain and coriander give a brief, bitter-green opening before cinnamon, nutmeg and saffron set a warm, spiced tone. The heart is rose in two forms, Damask and rose de Mai, lush and honeyed, joined by jasmine sambac and ylang-ylang for heady white-flower richness, with dried fruits adding a sticky, raisiny sweetness and orris a powdery softness. The base is dark and dense: oud and leather bring a smoky, animalic depth, sandalwood, cedar and oak a dry, polished woodiness, and tonka bean a mellow sweetness to round it off.
It is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. Its richness suggests cold weather and evenings, and it suits people who enjoy opulent, spice-laden rose scents in the Middle Eastern style.
