The opening pairs bergamot and mandarin orange with tobacco and African marigold, so the citrus arrives already tinged with something dry and herbal. The heart is powdery and apricot-like: iris brings a cool, rooty powder, osmanthus a soft fruit-leather quality, neroli a bitter orange-blossom freshness, and pink pepper a light sparkle. In the base, vanilla absolute and benzoin give a resinous sweetness, suede a smooth, supple leather, and musk with vetiver a dry, grounding finish.
Longevity and sillage have not yet been reported. The iris and suede make it a scent for cooler, drier days, and it suits someone who likes florals with structure rather than sweetness.
