Close To Midnight is a sweet, musky gourmand built around coffee and resins, released by the French house Musicology in 2020 and composed by Nathalie Lorson. It is worn by anyone.

Coffee opens it, dark, roasted and slightly bitter, giving the scent its distinctive character. Jasmine sits in the heart, smooth and a little heady, softening the bitterness with a floral sweetness. The base is warm and rich: tonka bean gives an almondy, hay-like sweetness, labdanum a honeyed, leathery resin, ambergris a salty, mineral warmth, and musk a soft, skin-like finish that holds everything close.
