Le Solstice by Moncler, released in 2023, is a quiet, powdery musk. Everyone who describes it calls it musky and floral in equal measure, and about half also find it woody.
There are only a handful of notes and the scent is correspondingly simple. Iris and violet form the floral heart, and together they give the soft, powdery, slightly cosmetic quality of violet pastilles and face powder, cool rather than sweet. White musk and a plainer musk surround the flowers from the start, lending a clean, laundered, skin-like softness that is the main impression the scent leaves. Sandalwood underneath adds a smooth, creamy warmth that keeps the powder from feeling thin or chilly.
