Les Soirs de Siam

Les Soirs de Siam, from the Singapore-based Maison de L'Asie, is a woody fragrance with spice, musk, amber, leather and a squeeze of citrus all playing supporting roles. It was released in 2023 and composed by Francois Merle-Baudoin.

Lime and pink pepper open it with a sharp, zesty sparkle and a rosy, peppery tingle. Rose follows in the heart, adding a soft floral note that never takes over. The composition soon turns darker and warmer: incense brings a dry, smoky, temple-like quality, leather a supple, slightly animalic depth, and ambrette, a plant-based musk, a soft, velvety skin note with a hint of pear. Woody notes form the frame throughout.

As a shared scent, it is worn by anyone. The name evokes evenings, and the mix of incense, leather and warm woods does point to dinners, nights out and the cooler months. It suits someone who likes a smoky, textured woody scent that still feels polished.
