High Street

High Street by Louis Cardin, released in 2017, is a bright, peppery masculine scent that reads as spicy and citrusy in equal measure. About half of people also find it musky and aromatic.

Lemon and bergamot open it with a sharp, clean sparkle, and mint adds a cool, almost icy freshness on top. Ginger flower gives the top a slightly floral, spicy-fresh twist that is less common than plain ginger. The heart is where the spice takes over: pepper adds a dry, sharp heat, and amyris, a soft, resinous wood sometimes called West Indian sandalwood, gives it a smooth, slightly balsamic backbone. Musk closes the scent, clean and skin-like, so it ends softer and less sharp than it begins.

It comes across as a daytime fragrance for warm weather and busy days: fresh enough for the office, with enough pepper to feel awake. It suits someone who likes citrus scents but wants a bit more bite than a standard cologne.
