Lavande Noire by Laurent Mazzone Parfums, released in 2023 and composed by Vincent Ricord, is an amber with a lavender heart, made for anyone to wear. Everyone describes it as ambery, and a third also find it musky, resinous or aromatic.
The formula is short and the notes are listed together. Lavender is the aromatic voice, clean, herbal and slightly camphorous. Rum adds a dark, boozy sweetness that warms the lavender immediately. Frankincense and incense bring smoke and a dry, church-like resin to the middle. Amber is the base, warm and rounded, and musk smooths the finish into something soft and long-lasting.
