Velvet Oud is a shared fragrance from Lattafa Perfumes, released in 2018. Everyone who describes it calls it amber, and about half also find it spicy, woody, musky, leather and citrus, which gives a fair picture of a warm oriental-style scent with a bright edge.
The notes are listed as one set: citruses for a fresh opening; cinnamon for warm spice; oud and leather for the dark, animalic woody core; incense for a smoky, resinous lift; and amber and musk for the warm, soft base. The overall effect is a smooth, enveloping scent where the oud is softened by sweetness rather than left raw.
