Velvet Musk by Lattafa Perfumes, released in 2024, is a green musk for anyone to wear. Everyone describes it as green and musky, and about half also find it sweet, woody, floral and ambery.
The notes are listed together. Black tea and tea give the opening a dry, slightly smoky, tannic freshness, which is where the green character comes from. Iris adds a cool, powdery softness. Cedar brings a dry, clean wood. The base is musk and white musk, soft and clean, with coumarin adding a hay-like, almondy sweetness, vanilla a creamy warmth and amber a gentle glow, so the finish is cosy rather than sharp.
