Sutoor

Sutoor, released by Lattafa Perfumes in 2022, is a warm, boozy woody gourmand. Everyone who describes it calls it woody; around six in ten also find it gourmand, four in ten resinous, and a minority notice spicy, musky or citrus sides.

The note list is long. Blood orange gives a juicy, slightly bitter citrus start, and rum and brandy add a boozy, caramel-like warmth. Cardamom brings a warm spice and davana a fruity, herbal note. Peach and heliotrope add a soft, almond-tinged fruit sweetness, with jasmine giving a floral touch. The base is rich: vanilla and tonka bean for creamy sweetness, benzoin, labdanum and styrax for balsamic resins, and cashmere wood, sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver for a warm, earthy woodiness.
