Cinnamon and saffron open it with a hot, dry spice, the saffron adding a slightly leathery, medicinal edge typical of oud scents. The heart brings rose and oud together, the flower dark and jammy, the wood smoky and resinous, so neither reads as pretty or soft. The base is more oud over amber, which adds a sweet, balsamic warmth and lets the smokiness settle into something rounder.
